PROGRAM OVERVIEW
What is the Proving Grounds Soccer Academy?
We are a post-graduate soccer academy for high school graduates focused on college exposure, academic advancement, and personal development through elite soccer training.
Where is your academy located?
Our academy is located in Rome, Georgia, with access to high-level competition and residential housing for student-athletes.
Who is eligible to join the program?
The program is open to recent high school graduates, both domestic and international, who are looking to elevate their game and pursue college soccer opportunities.
What is the duration of the program?
The academy runs a full academic year (August–May), with optional summer training available.
SOCCER DEVELOPMENT
What kind of soccer training does the academy provide?
We offer professional-level training sessions led by licensed coaches with collegiate and pro experience, focused on player development, tactical awareness, and physical conditioning.
Do players compete in official matches?
Yes. Through our partnership with SSA Swarm Residential Academy, players access MLS Next competition and college showcase events.
How do your partnerships benefit players?
Our affiliations with MLS Next and SSA Swarm increase visibility and access to high-level matches, providing direct exposure to college coaches and recruiters.
Will I receive help with college recruitment?
Absolutely. We provide recruiting support including highlight video production, outreach to college coaches, showcase participation, and guidance through the recruitment process.
ACADEMICS
Do players take college classes during the program?
Yes. Students can take general education courses through the University of Georgia state system without starting their NCAA eligibility clock.
Will I get academic support or advising?
Yes. Each student-athlete will receive academic guidance directly from the college’s assigned academic advisors.
Does this program affect my NCAA eligibility?
No. Because you’re not competing in intercollegiate athletics while enrolled, your eligibility remains intact.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Do you accept international students?
Yes, we welcome international players and offer comprehensive support with admissions, housing, and academic placement.
Can you help international students with visas?
Yes. We assist with I-20 setup for student visa processing and offer TOEFL evaluation support when needed.
Is there ESL (English as a Second Language) support?
Yes, ESL support can be arranged for students who require additional language development.
LIVING & LIFESTYLE
What type of housing is provided?
Student-athletes live in newly constructed, safe, and supervised housing designed for comfort, productivity, and community.
Are meals included?
Meal plans are available, and housing includes access to kitchen facilities for students who prefer to cook.
Is transportation provided?
Yes. We provide transportation to training, games, academic classes, and essential services as part of the program.
PERSONAL GROWTH & SUPPORT
What kind of personal development do you offer?
We include financial literacy, time management, self-reliance, and leadership training through a structured mentorship program.
Will there be mentorship throughout the year?
Yes. Every player is paired with a mentor for guidance in athletics, academics, and personal growth.
